Licensing of LMA Dean

The Reverend Huw Davies was licensed as LMA Dean to the East Landsker LMA, at a special Licensing service held at Saint Peter’s Church, Lampeter Velfrey on Sunday March 30th at 6:00pm.

On a glorious spring evening we all enjoyed a wonderful service of sung Evensong with the Archdeacon the Reverend Paul Mackness preaching a sermon on the importance of the family of the church.  We enjoyed hymns accompanied by a lovely pipe organ and shared refreshments afterwards.

On the 1st March, St David’s Day, The Reverend Carol Court organised a celebration at the vicarage in Crymych.   Liz Law and Gaynor Evans were dishing out the Cawl and Hazel Jones was the waitress for the day.  The Cawl was excellent and orders went out for seconds it was so delicious.  A good time was had by all.

The Way of the Cross - Grand Tour

As the Pandemic restrictions have eased how do we see ourselves as an united Local Ministry Area when our geography is against us?

How can we do something that unites Clydey in the mountains with Pendine by the sea?

But now we are also hoping to raise money for Ukraine.

UPDATE 16th July 2022

Now nearly half way through the proposed route The Reverend Kingsley Taylor has raised over £660 for the Ukraine Refugee Fund.  Well done Kingsley,  Fantastic effort.

UPDATE 28th July 2022

Now with only one more walk to go the total raised is £971, lets see if it will reach £1,000

Clydau Indoor BBQ

The last Clydai/Llanfyrnach barbecue of the season took
place on the 24th September as the wind howled around the church. This was the third indoor barbecue – one has to
wonder if it’ll ever be nice enough to have an outdoor one again: but there’s always next year.  Carol led the Eucharist service at Llanfyrnach and then led the congregation to Clydai, where we had our indoor barbecue, toasted absent friends with orange juice – Islwyn and Kathy – before packing the tables and chairs away until next year. Unless someone comes up with a winter event plan
